                A hacking tool is a program designed to assist with hacking, or a legitimate utility that can also be used for hacking.

       
Examples include Nmap, Nessus, John the Ripper, SuperScan, p0f, and Winzapper.Bribes, even chocolate bars, have also been designated as among the most potent hacking tools, due to its potential exploitation in social engineering attacks. Occasionally, common software such as ActiveX is exploited as a hacking tool as well.
Hacking tools such as Cain and Abel, however, are well known as Script Kiddie Tools. Script kiddies are people who follow instructions from a manual, without realizing how it happens. These Script Kiddies have been an enormous threat to computer security as there are many hacking tools and keyloggers up for download and are free.

2. NMAP

Nmap is a similar hacking/security tool as IP Tools which offer slightly different set of features.Unlike IP Tools Nmap is a freeware.It is designed to rapidly scan large networks, although it works fine against single hosts.Nmap uses raw IP packets in novel ways to determine what hosts are available on the network, what services (application name and version) those hosts are offering, what operating systems (and OS versions) they are running, what type of packet filters/firewalls are in use, and dozens of other characteristics.
